The week that was

It all began on a Monday

Monday after a weekend of snow and ice and really anything else it wanted to throw at us i final got back to uni. 

 Monday was all about 3D food and creating new piece.

  More of a range of 3D felt food that i have crated. 

As you can see I have been watching M.M.M (Massive Miranda Monday) and it inspired the eyes on my food.

Tuesday

 Tuesday was a day of the machine embroidery something that i haven't used but thought would give it a go hear are my outcomes and i am quite pleased with the results.  

At the beginning starting to see the design coming through.

The finished piece with the stitch. I think this has worked really well. It does take quite a while (didn't realize you could speed it up until it was a little late) I am now a little addicted.

Wednesday

after another covering of snow I went to Interiors Uk at the NEC Birmingham. 

  On our way there snowy outside.

 

A flocked tree that is something you cant say you see everyday.

 I really liked the colour combination in this display thought it worked well together.

 To end the day on Wednesday we had to Finnish the day with a snowman this is Claude.

Thursday

Thursday involved more digital print and creating a visualization.  

A little vis of my designs on notebooks.

I final cut out my digital prints from last week think they are looking good.

 This might seem like a weird picture but my desk is never this tidy so I thought I would take a photo this might make it last longer (in theory).

  They have arrived business card are hear one step closer to the Surface Design show (don't forget the 5th to the 7th of Feb). 

Friday 

On Friday we had one to ones where we show out tutor our work and they give a few ideas and just talk though what we are doing. I felt it went well and have a lot more ideas of taking my work froward. 

next week... 

I imagine there will be more digital printing,and embroidery and a whole lot of other fun too!!

Snow Day!!!!

Friday the 18th is snow day in Somerset

I woke up this morning to snow, snow, snow.

Surprisingly nobody wanted to sit outside today.

What a week!!

What a week it has been 

It began on a Monday like most weeks. Time to start making items for the Surface Design Show. Monday was visual culture so was getting on with that for that day. 

Driving to Uni on Tuesday morning. 

The mornings are so beautiful at the moment had to stop the car to take these but defiantly worth it.

Tuesday

On Tuesday I went with a few uni friends to a leather shop near Yeovil hear is a few pics of the leather what was foe sale.

really good bright colours were available. 

Wednesday 

Another beautiful morning sunrise.

Wednesday was all about coating screens and the print room getting images ready mixing colour. 

Thursday 

I went a bit mad on Thursday did digital print, screen printing, and dyed fabric all in one day!!

Washing digital print that took a long time.

green yellow looks a different now. 

Red for berry's and fruit to be made from.

 

I just thought this was an interesting shot of the dye going down the sink. 

 

The weather man says there is a chance of snow tomorrow so it could be snow day Friday???
